Photos from Christmas 2023 show Forrest with Sheena's family. The same parents he claimed to meet for the first time on camera.
The central premise of Forrest and Sheena's story on Before the 90 Days Season 8 is that Forrest finally traveled to the Philippines to meet her in person after seven years of long-distance dating. But photos have surfaced that tell a different story entirely.
Starcasm found photos posted by Sheena's parents showing Forrest celebrating Christmas with them at their bed and breakfast in the Philippines in 2023. On the show, Forrest reacted to meeting Sheena's parents as if it were his first time. The photos suggest it wasn't.
There are also photos from 2019 showing Forrest and Sheena together in person, with both appearing visibly younger than they do on camera this season. A since-deleted Instagram Reel from the bed and breakfast, posted November 13, 2023, showed Forrest posing in front of a Christmas tree with other guests at the property.
Forrest's mother Molly made the situation harder to defend. During a social media live Q&A, she told viewers that Forrest and Sheena had never met before. That claim is now directly contradicted by the photographic evidence. And Sheena had already admitted separately to lying about using joint savings to give money to her parents, whose profitable bed and breakfast she'd described in far more modest terms on the show.
Reddit viewers pointed out something else that got attention: on the flight to the Philippines, Forrest, whose disability is described on the show as severe enough that he can't work, handled customs and the entire travel process more smoothly than his mother and stepfather, who appeared disorganized and misplaced their passports. One commenter noted that he navigated international travel, settled into a new culture, and adjusted with ease. Another flagged that show rules actually require couples to have met in person before production begins, which would mean TLC already knew.
Forrest and Sheena got engaged in February 2026 after the season filmed, so the relationship itself appears to be real. But whether any of what played out on screen as a first meeting was genuine is a different question entirely. Neither Forrest, Sheena, nor Molly has addressed the photos publicly, and with NDAs in place, it's unlikely they will.
